Vintage Belgian C.N.E.B. Enamel Kitchen Canisters | Complete Art Deco Set of Five | c.1925–1940

Such a beautiful and authentic set of five vintage enamel kitchen canisters produced by C.N.E.B. (Compagnie Nouvelle d’Émaillerie de Belgique) in Ghlin, Belgium during the Art Deco period.

Finished in classic white enamel with striking cobalt blue geometric decoration, each canister is hand-lettered in French for Riz (rice), Sucre (sugar), Café (coffee), Farine (flour) and Pâtes (pasta), reflecting the elegant simplicity of early twentieth-century European kitchens.

Although manufactured in Belgium, these enamel canisters were widely used throughout France and have become enduring symbols of the French country kitchen. Their gentle wear tells the story of decades of everyday family life, giving them the warmth and authenticity that modern reproductions simply cannot replicate.

Perfect displayed on open shelving, a farmhouse dresser or kitchen bench, they bring both history and character to a home.
