Vintage French Montmartre Oil Painting is a wonderfully atmospheric vintage French painting capturing the romance and colour of Montmartre, Paris, with the distinctive domes of Sacré-Cœur rising softly above the rooftops.

Painted with expressive, heavily textured impasto, the scene is alive with quintessential Parisian details — figures wandering along the street, colourful shop awnings, old façades, a slender street lamp and leafy trees. Soft blues and greens are punctuated with warm reds, ochres and touches of yellow, creating the wonderfully nostalgic character associated with mid-century Parisian street painting.

The work is signed “Burnett” to the lower right and is an original oil on canvas. It is presented in a particularly beautiful vintage frame, richly finished in aged gold with muted green decorative detailing.
