Maison Tirot Le Bachi Toy Sailing Boat Natural is a beautiful heirloom quality wooden toy.

In French maritime slang, a bachi is the headgear worn by sailors and quartermasters in the Navy.

Made of blue wool cloth, it is topped with a red pompom in the French Navy.

Le Bâchi is a 17cm tuna boat. This boat is equipped with a Bermuda-type cotton sail.

This boat was handcrafted in the Tirot Breton atelier using the same know-how, the same techniques, passed down from generation to generation since 1946.

Care: rinse off and wipe with a soft cloth after being used in water.

WARNING: Not suitable for children under 36 months, small parts could cause a choking hazard.

Children must always be supervised by an adult when playing with toys near the water.

About Maison Tirot

Maison Tirot was founded in 1946 by Francis Tirot in Romagné, Brittany, where we are still located 75 years later.

Francis worked in the wood industry, and the arrival of the very first paid holidays gave him the desire to create a wooden toy for children…

From this idea was born the navigable wooden toy boat

The boats are genuine children’s toys and meet French and European safety standards.

The boats are handmade and hand-painted.

In 2012, Tirot was awarded the ‘EPV’ label, a French Living Heritage Company. This is a mark of recognition from the State, established to distinguish French companies with outstanding artisanal and industrial expertise.
